SPEA, in cooperation with MoHaP, conducts 3 thousand tests

Sharjah24: The Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA), in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHaP, began last Sunday conducting free coronavirus tests for all educational and administrative personnel working in various schools of the emirate.

The Authority, which set a regulatory schedule that includes all school employees, was able to conduct nearly 3 thousand virus tests, yesterday, Sunday, stressing that more than 17 thousand workers in the schools of the emirate will be conducting the tests at the end of the period set by the Authority.

The Authority develops a detailed study and a comprehensive program, including the best ways and mechanisms that can be followed to conduct the coronavirus tests for students, which will start early next week, after the completion of the functional cadre checks. The Authority stated that all students over the age of 12 years will be examined.

His Excellency Ali Al Hosani, Director of Sharjah Private Education Authority stated that conducting these tests comes in line with the strategies and vision of the Authority, aiming to ensure the health and safety of its educational staff and students, by providing a safe and healthy educational environment.

Al Hosani said that the Authority had created a guidebook for the new academic year 2020-2021, including a package of policies, preventive measures, and precautionary measures, to be distributed to all private schools in the Emirate of Sharjah. Schools have to follow all the instructions in the guidebook.
