The wise leadership has realized that investing in people is the most supreme of investments and that the greater role of education in the progress and prosperity of nations makes it incumbent on us to do more serious collective work. Hence, the concerted efforts exerted by the parties within the educational process and in particular Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA), which was established to support education and improve its outputs, are the gateway to reaching the required goals and ensuring the graduation of students armed with all the required educational and life skills. Based on this, all those engaged in the educational field including parents, students and administrative, teaching and technical staff are invited to join hands for our schools to reach the highest levels of knowledge and educational excellence.

Because private education is a basic partner in the education system and is aimed at transforming society into a knowledge-based one while building a sustainable knowledge-based economy, the wise leadership has always supported and focused on private education and has put it on top of its priorities and strategic plans.  Hence, SPEA was established as per the Emiri Decree No. 45 for 2018 issued by His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. SPEA has under its guidance all private schools, nurseries and institutes across the emirate and is a starting point for the development of this vital sector, which is the right and additional arm of the UAE’s government education system.

​SPEA, whose mission is to attain excellent education, aspires to enable the educational community to grow and achieve ambitious outputs through SPEA’s supportive and effective services and to raise an intellectually aware and innovative generation with high excellent morals and academic qualifications, which is armed with such values as integrity, innovation, transparency, positivity, co-operation and accountability. It also aims at organizing and upgrading private education in Sharjah by applying the best educational practices, encouraging the provision of excellent educational services and attracting investments. SPEA’s services additionally include licensing educational institutions, issuing professional licenses to those working in the education sector and handling the affairs of learners.

Education nowadays is moving forward at an accelerated pace under the directives of HH Ruler of Sharjah, leader of an ambitious process of increasing prosperity for our homeland. Inspired by our success we will expand our responsibilities and increase our efforts to progress and continually upgrade our education systems, this role necessitates us to shoulder more responsibilities and exert more efforts in order to carry on and keep upgrading our education systems and developing our curricula in line with our national project in the UAE.
