Launch of the 30th Cycle of the Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence

Sharjah Private Education Authority announced the launch of the 30th cycle of the Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence. This award serves as a fundamental pillar and central contributor to promoting a culture of excellence, creativity, and innovation in the educational field and across all segments and categories of the local community throughout the United Arab Emirates. With the commencement of the 30th cycle, SPEA encourages distinguished individuals in the educational field and the local community to participate in this prestigious award. Participants can explore its categories, criteria, and conditions for nomination by visiting the award's website at https://award-shj.ae, and submit their nomination applications by filling out the registration form on the website.

The award has received gracious patronage over its 29 cycles from His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Alqasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, who has given it his utmost appreciation and support. This patronage has fostered a spirit of competition and enhanced the morale of individuals and educational institutions across the country, contributing to the journey of creativity and innovation in areas that align with the UAE's orientations and future vision.
His Excellency Ali Al Hosani, Director of SPEA, expressed his profound gratitude to the founder and patron of the award, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Alqasimi, for his unlimited support of the award. He emphasized that this support reflects His Highness's belief in the importance of education and his steadfast commitment to encouraging innovative educational initiatives that contribute to advancing the education field in the country.  
He stated, "With the launch of the 30th cycle, we celebrate the successes of the award in its previous cycles, and we place upon everyone the responsibility to maintain this success and build upon it. We strive for further achievements that promote concepts of excellence and competition in educational institutions by fostering transparent judging criteria, implementing programs and initiatives, and harnessing resources to achieve our desired objectives. Through positive competition, we will witness continuous improvement in performance levels, enhancing the emirate's position as one of the distinguished educational contributors in the country. 

Her Excellency Alia Ibrahim Al Hosani, Director of the Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence emphasized that the award serves as a significant platform and a cornerstone for enhancing positive competitiveness. It aims to establish a culture of excellence, creativity, and innovation in both the educational field and the local community across all sectors and categories. The award has adopted an ambitious and evolving plan to support students, teachers, educational leaders, and the entire school community, enabling them to achieve excellence and distinction in various fields. She also expressed her pride in the achievements that the award has attained and the goals and aspirations it has realized. She noted the increasing interest in both the quantity and quality of participants, as well as the efforts to achieve the highest standards of quality and excellence. This encourages the award administration to continue its development journey to keep pace with educational developments and societal needs, ensuring the sustainability of distinction, creativity, and innovation.

Her Excellency Alia Al Hosani called upon the educational field and the local community to contribute to spreading a culture of excellence by familiarizing themselves with the award criteria that foster excellence through participation and nomination in the 30th cycle. She extended thanks and appreciation to school administrations, parents, and all supporters of the journey towards excellence. She also encouraged students, administrative staff, teaching staff, technical staff, and the entire school community to compete and strive for the highest levels of excellence, creativity, and innovation.

She clarified that the current cycle of the award includes categories for outstanding individuals, such as the Distinguished Student Category (including people of determination), Distinguished Teacher Category (both regular and integrated), Distinguished Educational Leader Category, Distinguished Support Jobs Category, and Distinguished Parents Category. The second category includes awards for Distinguished Institutions, namely the Distinguished School Category, Distinguished Nursery Category, and Distinguished Organizations and Partners Supporting Education Category. Additionally, the "Gem of the Arabic Language" Award was launched to encourage both government and private schools to nurture the Arabic language, solidify its importance in the minds of students, equip the educational community with Arabic language skills for use in science and daily life, and enhance its role in the educational and local community.
