Sharjah Private Education Authority participated alongside six governmental and semi-governmental entities, including the University of Sharjah, Sharjah Education Academy, Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa), Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, Sharjah Center for Learning Difficulties, and the Expo Centre Sharjah, in the Bett Show in London, one of the largest international exhibitions held annually, aiming to showcase the latest educational programs and technologies. The event took place from January 24th to 26th.
The delegation of SPEA was headed by His Excellency Ali Al Hosani, Director of the Sharjah Private Education Authority. During their participation, they provided a platform for dialogue and interaction to highlight the significant efforts made by the Emirate of Sharjah in serving and developing education and keeping pace with the latest technological advancements and programs. This aimed to showcase its educational and cultural status and the qualitative leap it has achieved in recent years.
His Excellency expressed pride in Sharjah Private Education Authority's participation in the Bett Show, which serves as a crucial platform for exchanging experiences and knowledge in the field of educational technology. It also provides an opportunity for participants to explore the latest technologies and innovations in modern education. He emphasized that SPEA’s participation is in line with its commitment and interest in achieving a distinguished education strategy. He also highlighted the presence of accompanying educational leaders who were informed about the latest developments in modern technology, with the aim of enhancing the educational standards of the emirate's schools.
He further added that this participation reflects Sharjah Private Education Authority's commitment to adopting the latest technologies in learning and teaching processes, emphasizing its firm belief in the importance of employing technology to enhance student interaction and motivation. He explained that participating in global forums dedicated to science and education contributes to gaining more experiences, experiments, and knowledge, in addition to its role in highlighting the leading position of the Emirate of Sharjah on the global map of science and education.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, Sharjah Private Education Authority, represented by His Excellency Ali Al Hosani and Dan Sandhu, CEO of E D T Middle East Education Consultancy, signed a mutual cooperation agreement to enhance collaboration frameworks and joint work related to improving assessment systems, implementing monitoring and review processes in the education sector, and conducting quality review visits to schools under the "ITQAN" program in its second cycle for several private schools in the Emirate of Sharjah.
Accompanying Events
The conference featured six workshops, starting with a workshop organized by the University of Sharjah titled "Strategic Integration - Leveraging Performance Management to Enhance Results." Additionally, the Sharjah Center for Learning Difficulties showcased initiatives and achievements of the Learning Support and Development Center, while the Sharjah Education Academy presented a workshop on the Education Data Center.
The Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center "Sheraa" organized a workshop titled "Excellence in Educational Technology: Supporting Startups and Innovation in Sharjah," and the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services highlighted the role of the city in providing knowledge-related content using technology. Before concluding the event, the participating entities conducted a collective workshop titled "Sharjah as a Regional Educational Center," during which a discussion took place regarding the efforts made in the emirate to enhance the level of education. Additionally, an activity titled "Write Your Name in Arabic Calligraphy" was organized for visitors to SPEA’s platform, aiming to promote Arabic calligraphy culture and introduce visitors to it.
Furthermore, SPEA’s delegation, led by His Excellency Ali Al Hosani, held a meeting with the management of the Bett Show on Sharjah Private Education Authority's platform, discussing ways and prospects to enhance future cooperation, in addition to topics related to SPEA’s current participation in the exhibition. The delegation also visited several schools and institutions to exchange experiences and discuss topics related to modern education, as well as review various media materials on SPEA’s platform.
SPEA’s platform received His Excellency Mansoor Abulhoul, UAE Ambassador to the UK, along with a high-level delegation from the Ministry of Education of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The latest education practices of the visiting delegation were reviewed, as well as the initiatives and projects organized and launched by SPEA, and the efforts exerted in the continuous improvement of the educational sector.
Sharjah Private Education Authority aimed, through its participation in the global event, to enhance the quality of education outcomes at all educational levels, and to strengthen the Emirate's position as a leading regional educational center relying on innovation and technology to improve students' learning experience. Additionally, it aimed to learn about the latest educational practices, alongside sharing its pioneering experience. SPEA also organized numerous activities and meetings focusing on exchanging experiences and knowledge among participating delegations.
