The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the Sharjah Private Education Authority have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at supporting the recruitment of specialized national human resources and enhancing their effective participation in the private education sector. This cooperation between the two parties aims to consolidate the complementary roles between them and enhance the joint work tools that enable the employment of national competencies and human resources capable of contributing to building a competitive economy.
The memorandum aims to support the implementation of Emiratization policies and decisions in the private education sector in the Emirate of Sharjah and to collaborate in linking data between the two parties to contribute to ensuring the rights of national cadres. It also aims to enhance sustainable employment opportunities for national cadres to work in educational institutions in the private sector and to include them in the required Emiratization ratio to be achieved by the private school. Additionally, the memorandum aims to formalize cooperation and joint work between the relevant parties.
Furthermore, the memorandum emphasizes the necessity of protecting the rights of Emirati employees when they are employed in the private education sector. This includes monitoring private educational institutions in issuing work permits for Emirati employees in accordance with the regulations applicable at the Ministry, supporting Emirati employees by establishing the required wage data for wage protection systems, registering Emirati employees in the Sharjah Social Security Fund, ensuring regular contributions, and periodically notifying the Ministry electronically.
The agreement was signed by Her Excellency Aisha Mohammed Belharfia, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation for Emiratization Affairs, and His Excellency Ali Ahmed Alhosani, Director of the Sharjah Private Education Authority, in the presence of Her Excellency Dr. Muhadditha Alhashimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Private Education Authority, His Excellency Engineer Omar Khalfan bin Huraimel Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Department of Human Resources Sharjah, and His Excellency Ahmed Al Nasser, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation for National Human Resources Development, along with several administrative staff from both sides.
Her Excellency Aisha Belharfia expressed her pleasure at signing this memorandum, emphasizing the importance of integrating efforts between the government and educational sectors to enhance employment and develop human resources. She pointed out that this step comes as part of the continuous commitment to enhancing the quality of education and developing society by providing national competencies and capabilities that possess efficiency and experience and achieving the common vision to stimulate academic and social growth in order to build a partnership based on trust and mutual understanding.
His Excellency Ali Alhosani expressed his optimism about opening new horizons for national cadres in the private education sector, stating the importance of SPEA’s cooperation with the Ministry to ensure the success of future initiatives. He affirmed that the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding reflects the commitment of the Sharjah Private Education Authority to enhance employment opportunities for citizens and the success of its pioneering initiative "Proud to be a teacher", which is the first of its kind in the country and has witnessed significant success since its launch in 2019. The initiative aims to provide suitable employment opportunities in the private education sector for job-seeking Emiratis, focusing on individual competency and capabilities.
