Sharjah Private Education Authority’s 2025–2028 Strategy Inspired by the Book Al-Murshid

As part of its efforts to enhance the quality and sustainability of private education in the emirate, the Sharjah Private Education Authority organized a brainstorming session titled "Towards Sustainable Impact." The session was held as part of the preparations for the launch of SPEA’s 2025–2028 strategy. It drew on discussions and intellectual frameworks during the session to strengthen the role of education in sustaining society, improving well-being, and launching innovative educational initiatives that align with Sharjah’s vision for education. The strategy also aims to measure the quality of private education through key indicators that support the achievement of excellence in education.
SPEA drew significant inspiration for its strategy from the vision and philosophy of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Alqasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. Additionally, the key concepts in the book "Al-Murshid" served as a reference guide for steering discussions and establishing the foundational pillars for building the strategy. The publication is one of the most prominent intellectual references, highlighting the importance of developing the well-rounded character of students and promoting the values of ethical and educational excellence.
Her Excellency Dr. Muhadditha Al Hashimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Private Education Authority, stated: "We are fortunate to have this rich reference, which reflects His Highness’s wise vision for building both individuals and society." She added, "Guiding our discussions with the book ‘Al-Murshid’ during the brainstorming session added a new dimension to our conversations and helped us shape a strategic vision that will achieve our goals of building a balanced, aware, and creative generation."
The key elements of His Highness’s approach to shaping the student's character were also discussed, including instilling knowledge, encouraging a love for reading and books, establishing a strong foundation from a young age, and building a well-rounded personality. The discussion also covered fostering innovation and creativity, empowering future generations to be cultured and aware, as well as enhancing self-confidence, and ensuring psychological and academic stability.
During the session, SPEA discussed the educational goals of His Highness’s framework outlined in the book, which focuses on preparing generations characterized by cultural, ethical, and creative awareness. It also emphasized the importance of instilling a sense of national belonging, upholding values and principles, and keeping pace with modern developments, in order to graduate righteous and creative generations that contribute to the development of their communities and the progress of their countries.
Her Excellency Dr. Muhadditha Al Hashimi underscored the critical role of academic institutions in fostering innovation and lifelong learning, stating that SPEA’s new strategy will reflect a comprehensive vision focused on creating a flexible and advanced educational environment rooted in Sharjah’s values and developmental objectives.
The session concluded with a series of recommendations positioning "Al-Murshid" as a central pillar of SPEA’s future vision. These recommendations aim to ensure the development of a progressive educational environment that mirrors Sharjah’s cultural values. Her Excellency Dr. Muhadditha Al Hashimi reiterated the importance of academic institutions as platforms supporting lifelong learning and emphasized the role of education in developing creative, resilient students capable of overcoming future challenges.
This initiative is part of the ongoing efforts exerted by SPEA to improve the quality and sustainability of private education, by drawing inspiration from the vision of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, adopting best global practices, and working with a spirit of collaboration to provide a comprehensive and inspiring educational environment.
