Overview of the Organizational Unit
The Education Institutions Sector oversees the departments responsible for regulating private education in the Emirate of Sharjah.
This is achieved through the development of general policies, regulatory frameworks, and bylaws, in line with the directions and priorities of the Sharjah Private Education Authority.
The sector also monitors the compliance of educational institutions with relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
Furthermore, the sector is committed to providing the necessary support to its departments to ensure the delivery of high-quality and comprehensive services to all stakeholders, including investors, parents, and students.
The sector strives to achieve ambitious performance indicators that reinforce the Authority's vision and support the efficient and effective implementation of its future strategies and objectives.
Key Tasks and Roles
- Monitoring student performance levels and developing teacher competencies and capabilities to ensure quality teaching and achieve highly competitive educational outcomes.
- Contributing to the organization of the educational process, supporting students, and enhancing the efficiency of educational institutions.
- Supervising the specialized departments within the sector, including:
The Assessment Department and the Continuous Improvement Department.
The Licensing Department and the Professional Qualifications Department.
The Educational Operations Department and the Curriculum and Examinations Department.
The Compliance Department and the Sponsorship and Activities Department.
