The Emirate of Sharjah is experiencing a comprehensive educational renaissance characterized by unprecedented achievements, established by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Alqasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. These achievements, marked by their comprehensiveness and integration, have resulted in a scientific and cognitive shift, positioning Sharjah prominently on the global map of scientifically advanced nations.
Recognizing the growing role of education in the renaissance and leadership of nations - as a premier form of investment in human capital - the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) was established to support the educational process, improve its outcomes, and integrate efforts among all stakeholders. Our goal is to graduate students equipped with the necessary educational and life skills.
Private education is an essential partner in the comprehensive education system, carrying the goals of knowledge transformation and building a sustainable scientific economy. In line with the priorities and concerns of our wise leadership, SPEA was established by Emiri Decree No. 45 of 2018, issued by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Alqasimi. SPEA encompasses all private schools, centers, nurseries, and institutes within the emirate, serving as a foundation for further development and as a vital complement to the government education system in the country.
SPEA aspires to empower the educational community to grow and achieve aspiring outcomes through its supportive and effective services. The goal is to cultivate a generation that is intellectually aware, creative, and distinguished both morally and scientifically, while being equipped with the values of integrity and innovation. Additionally, SPEA seeks We aim to regulate private education in Sharjah, enhance its quality by implementing best educational practices, encourage the provision of exceptional services in the field of education, and attract investments. Our services focus on licensing educational institutions, professional licensing for their staff, and managing learners’ affairs.
Under the directives of our development leader and the Ruler of Sharjah – may Allah protect him – education is advancing rapidly through diligent efforts that promise prosperity and goodness for our nation. Given our capabilities and roles, we bear significant responsibilities and must exert greater efforts to continue our journey, improve our educational systems, and develop our curricula in alignment with our national project in the United Arab Emirates.
