Overview of the Organizational Unit
The Legal Affairs Office is a pivotal organizational unit dedicated to ensuring compliance with applicable national laws and regulations.
The office prepares and drafts bills and regulations governing the Authority's operations, in addition to providing legal support and advice to all organizational units.
It also drafts contracts and memoranda of understanding with partners in the public and private sectors, ensuring the soundness of decisions and their consistency with the legislative framework. Furthermore, the office represents the Authority before judicial bodies to pursue legal cases and protect its interests, thereby fostering a work environment based on good governance and fairness and supporting the achievement of the Authority's strategic objectives.
Key Tasks and Roles
- Preparing and drafting administrative contracts and memoranda of understanding with governmental and private entities to ensure the Authority's rights and protect its interests.
- Reviewing and preparing administrative decisions regulating workflow to ensure their compliance with applicable legislation in the country.
- Providing legal opinions and advice to all organizational units to support sound decision-making.
- Participating in the preparation and development of draft laws and regulations related to the Authority to keep pace with legal developments.
- Representing the Authority and following up on legal cases and disputes before the judicial and competent authorities in the Emirates.
- Ensuring the legal consistency of all procedures and transactions to promote the principles of governance and institutional compliance.
