The Professional Qualifications Department is the accredited awarding body of the National Qualifications Center. It plays a pivotal role in overseeing the performance of technical and vocational education and training institutions that offer accredited professional programs.

The department also provides strategic support for the efficient and effective delivery and assessment of national qualifications, in accordance with the National Qualifications Center's standards.

Furthermore, the department oversees the quality of training processes and internal verification to ensure the application of the highest standards of excellence and quality.

It also manages the development, awarding, and issuance of qualifications according to approved frameworks and policies.

Key Tasks and Roles

  • Monitoring and auditing accredited educational and training institutions periodically to ensure compliance with standards.

  • Issuing no-objection certificates for offering accredited professional qualifications and programs in accordance with regulatory frameworks.

  • Effectively coordinating with the National Qualifications Center for the accreditation of various institutions and professional programs.

  • Conducting site visits for evaluation before and during program launch to ensure operational readiness and quality.

  • Reviewing and approving files for new or renewed professional programs in line with labor market requirements.

  • Evaluating institutional performance based on learning outcomes and ensuring the quality of implementation of national qualifications.

  • Managing applications for the validation of professional qualifications and issuing official certificates to qualified trainees.
