Office of Research and Statistics
Overview of the Organizational Unit
The Research and Statistics Office is the central body responsible for governing and managing research, evaluation, and statistical analysis activities within the Authority. It designs and conducts applied research and surveys. The Office works to provide an accurate and reliable database to support decision-making, in line with the strategic directions of the Emirate of Sharjah, in coordination with relevant departments and the educational community. The Office also strives to monitor and scientifically analyze educational phenomena, contributing to the development of future policies and educational initiatives based on accurate statistical results. This ultimately aims to enhance the efficiency of the educational system and achieve leading levels of excellence based on knowledge and data.
Key Tasks and Roles
Preparing research reports and statistical analyses related to the reality of education, its processes, achievement levels, results, and impact.
Enhancing the strategic planning system and establishing institutional knowledge Department to support continuous improvement in private education institutions.
Providing technical support and building specialized capacities in the areas of formative assessment and results-based monitoring.
Designing and implementing measurement tools, questionnaires, and advanced statistical analysis to ensure data accuracy and its use in decision-making.
Utilizing school performance improvement sciences to establish an evidence-based innovation approach, contributing to raising the quality of educational outcomes.
